The Top Hand Award is selected each year by the Chairman of the Steering Committee to show appreciation for the work, dedication, and support of TRCA and its current chairman.

In 2024, the name of this award was changed to the “Stanton Brown Top Hand Award” in honor of one of the original Steering Committee members.

During his career, Stanton has worked in all areas of the ad valorum tax profession – from tax collector to chief appraiser to PTAD field appraiser to law firm consultant and now to his current position as member of the board of directors.
